I always see 1.5 this, 1.5 that. I personally like the bigger profile 2.5's.

Just wondering why everyone else likes the 1.5 better?

I think the smaller profile puts more overall fish in the boat, while the larger profile nets fewer fish, but the quality is better.  Same deal as with the LCRC1.5 vs 2.5 (or 3.5).

I prefer the 2.5 size myself too but since I switched over to the rapala cranking raps and clackin raps I don't throw them as much anymore.

A confidence thing, the 2.5 lands big fish though...

Idk I started doing well with the 1.5s and kept using them..bluegill has been my best color by a mile and I bought the bluegill in 2.5 and used it once..I'm gonna start throwing it more that you made this thread..

I like the 2.5's just fine.

I can get numbers and size with the 2.5.  I prefer them over the 1.5, especially in stained or dirty water.

I use the 2.5s quite a bit more than the 1.5s.  I can cast further with the bigger bait, and I don't see an issue with catching numbers.  If they don't bite the 2.5s I'll switch to the smaller baits.

I don't use either one because decimal points confuse me. :dazed-7: Is size the only difference, does one run deeper, why isn't there a 2.0, is KVD's royalty why there's a .5,?????

'Hey Mr. Cotter, I'm so confused!?

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A KVD 2.5.  This topic never ever came up.  You just stick to throwing a 1.5. ;)

The 2.5 has been generally more effective for me.

In fact, my most productive burst ever was last summer with a green gizzard shad 2.5 - 11 largemouth on the same crank in just over an hour.

Why can't every Sunday afternoon be like that?

I have more of the 2.5's but there's a time and place for both sizes.  I'd rather throw the larger one if I have a choice, just easier.
