I'm curious fixing to order some swimbaits and I can't decide..I've havent used firetiger color much at all..not a confidence bait for me at all..a few of my buddies swear by it..I said I was gonna use white more this year but debating about firetiger vs white on the last of my order?

I absolutely love the color firetiger. Personally i like to use it during the summer, for some reason here in Bama the fish get vicious when I throw any lure in firetiger.

I like firetiger shad raps in shallow muddy water when bass are first starting to move up!

I just got a medium diver Little John in firetiger. It's getting tied on this week. Great color.

Culprit worms still makes a firetiger pattern 7.5 inch ribbontail, it is a very subdued version of the bright firetiger seen on cranks, but it is unusual. I use it when I think the fish are getting tired of the standbys.

I love firetiger when I'm river fishing. I remember I had one tiny little perch imitator crankbait that was a firetiger color. It came out of a little blue fox crankbait kit. I caught so many fish on that little thing. Wish I knew where it was. :(

Firetiger and Mistake colored cranks are some of my favorite dirty water colors.

Only thing. i had any consistent luck with on the river last year. Fishing rock walls with this cheap walmart crank.

Caught nothing big but quite a few bass and some nice size bluegill

When I lived in NJ Firetiger was my favorite color. Not so much now that I live further south where there are less yellow perch in the lakes I fish.

Firetiger cranks are one of my favorite and best producers. But you can't go wrong with white either. I am afraid youll need both...   :wink7:

Firetiger and smallmouth go hand in hand on the river. They also do well in shallow muddy water when the sun is high.

I have it in several baits but I use it most in Roostertails and spinnerbaits. Hardly ever in crankbaits and jerkbaits or topwaters. And yet I own so many....

Firetiger is a proven crankbait color for dirty water but not so much in swimbaits.  Not saying it won't work but there's a big difference in a swimbait bite and a reaction bite.

Of all the crank baits I have, firetiger gets used the most. I've been throwing a Bomber A firetiger since I knew what fishing was.

What brand?

I pour my own:

The bottom one is salted and painted (spots) and dyed with Spike_It.

The top one is dyed but large flakes are used.

I sometimes change out the spinners on some of my spinnerbaits to firetiger, has saved the day on a number of occassions.  Also use em on in line spinners #4 or #5 Mepps and the smallies smash em.

Definitely try some out, however I am in love with white. Just the fact that I can see It coming through the water, then completely disappear when I get a hit makes it good enough in itself, however In really stained water, firetiger works fairly decent. Give them a try!

i used to hammer smallies on the rivers in Maine when i lived there on firetiger husky jerks...it wasn't even fair lol

I like spinnerbaits in firetiger but don't use many cranks in that color.

For whatever reason, firetiger is a northern pike magnet on my local waters.
