Hey, does anyone know what hooks Bass Pro use on their brand lures?

    Thanks

I have used there hooks alot and have not had any of them break, they are very sharp, and I get good penetration with these hook. For the price they are good.

I used a 25 count package of their 1/0 EWG last year. Never had a problem with any of them.

I use them for worm hooks mainly, simply because of the price. Prefer Gamakatsu. I have had a BPS hook break on me, only one that I can think of. Still use them...for now.

When it comes to wacky rigging tho, I use Gamakatsu or Owner.

Their EWG Magna hook is about the only hook I use for my plastics anymore. Very occasionally I'll roll a point on a snag but if I do I just throw it away. A 25 pack for 8.99 makes it so I can toss a hook and it doesn't almost make me tear up. I've never used their treble hooks though.

Hooks are such a critical component, it always surprises me that people skimp on this part of their tackle collection.

The cost of "expensive" hooks is such a small part of the total investment we make in our gear. I fish several brands:

Owner, Gamakatsu, Moaner (Mustad), VMC, Tokar, X-Point and Katauage.

Normally it will say in the product description what type of hooks are used. I personally always do one of two things when buying new lures, I either swap the hooks out for the conditions I will being fishing in or I will sharpen the ones that come standard if I'm comfortable with the brand used in my the lure maker.

I think the OP was wanting to know what trebles are use in the BPS brand hard baits? In my experience with the "bargain bin" BPS brand baits, such as the cheap cranks and top waters, they all have horrible trebles and should be changed. When you can easily bend the hooks back with a bare hand, that's a no go in my book.

I have used BPS EWG and it is a good hook but recently got VMC EWGs and they are not only better quality but you got more for your money

I would agree you should change out the hooks on the BPS brand lures especially.  They are very flimsy and easy to straighten out, however it is good practice to do that anyway on most stock lures anyway.

I use Owner, VMC, Gamakatsu, Mustad and the BPS EWG hooks and never had a problem with either of them.  I do prefer Gamakatsu and Mustad though.
