I am looking to get a new jig rod but am not sure if I should get the recon 715H or the m1 72H. What are the differences and which one is better. I already have a recon and I love it but I got it before the m1 series came out so its not like I really had to choose between the two at the time.

On TT everyone seems to be in love with the 715. It is a very versatile and sensitive rod and would be my choice. Search the review on it to lesrn some more info.

Both are nice rods nonetheless.

I'm just going to go with the recon 715 since I already love my current recon and I'm also going to pick up one of the x-composite x12's.

Good choice. Without a doubt that would be the decision I would make. It can handle a very wide range of jigs/t-rigs and even works well for spinnerbaits. Also, the rod is EXTREMELY light.....something I happen to be a fan of.

I've felt both m1 and recon 2and go with the recon all the way, btw it floats in the water if you drop it.

I really like the M1. Can't speak for the Recon but as far I'm concerened you can't go wrong with either.
