rboat Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 For me, I have an old wooden heddon lucky 13. My dad gave it to me when I was a kid. It has caught some nice fish, but now it is retired to the back of the box. What be your favorite old school lure? Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted April 18, 2010 Super User Posted April 18, 2010 i'll second what guitar kid said. i also like the heddon baby torpedo or whatever that smaller size is. Quote
Super User grimlin Posted April 18, 2010 Super User Posted April 18, 2010 The first lure i ever used was a Eppinger Dardevle.I caught anything & everything that swam with those things. Quote
CRFisher Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Jitterbugs, Mepps inlines and Daredevles will still catch plenty of fish. A Flatfish will too - it's my favorite from fishing as a kid in the early 80's. Only two ways to fish them, slow and slower. Quote
dmac14 Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Daredevils, catch plenty of bass and pike will hit them like none other. Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted April 19, 2010 Super User Posted April 19, 2010 Jitterbugs and daredevles Quote
bassman31783 Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Lures: Beetle Spin & Tiny Torpedo Co.: Creme Worms Quote
flippin and pitchin Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Company: Uncle Josh/Cotton Cordell Lure: Pork Frog/Big O. Old time ? I resemble that remark. ;D Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted April 19, 2010 Super User Posted April 19, 2010 Favorite companies would be Cotton Cordell and Creme. Favorite lure would be the Big-O. I use to catch a ton on that lure when I was younger. Quote
GatorBait Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 My favorite would be the Devil's Horse by Smithwick. Quote
river-rat Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 My favorite for weedy conditions is the Arbogast Hawaiian Wiggler (I make a slight change to this one) or the Johnson Silver Minnow. I'm also partial to the #13 Rapala. Quote
