i went to bps to get the Bionic spinning combo, then i picked it up and new i could never fish with it. The reel felt like a brick. I felt like i was holding a catfish combo.

I bought that Sufix Siege for $5 per roll also, got 8 pound for a spinning rod and 12 pound for casting. Never used it before and didn't need line but I thought it was a cheap way to try different kinds. When I need to change, it's there waiting. Does anyone like this line?

Yeah I hear ya, I checked the Bionic Blade/Plus combo when I was there just to look at it.  It was 74.99 for the combo, the reels really didn't feel well and the combo was heavy as heck.  A full day of fishing with that would probably give you some arm problems.

I really wouldnt have cared, but most of my combos are fairly light. My heavy action Rage rod with a Daiwa Lexa is probably half the weight as the bionic spinning combo. And about the Siege, iv fished the Sufix Elite and love it, i dont think theres much difference with the siege. I grabbed some to try out.

Yeah I like the Sufix Elite, I probably should've just grabbed a spool of Siege.  I just didn't need it, but the price alone should've just been a BUY.  Ah oh well.  I did pick up some Spider Thread was on sale for 13.97.  I haven't tried it yet, but they were promoting it pretty hard there today and they even gave out hats for purchasing.  Supposedly softer than other "braids".  We'll see, bought a 30 and 50 lb.  Have you gave it whirl?

no, i have had such horrible experiences with every spider wire product i have ever tried. I wouldnt use it if someone gave it to me for free. But thats me, im sure there are people who use nothing but spider wire.

I just looked them up, it seems they are located in Ontario, they aren't part of Spiderwire it's a different company altogether.  Hrm I wonder if it's a local product for us Ontario Canada peoples.  Hopefully this won't break anything..lol

I do use the Stealth though on some of my reels, never really had any issues.  EZ Braid? I think it's called, now that was crappy will never purchase that line from Spiderwire ever.

The Suffix Seige is great mono line.  I bought a spool of the Suffix 832 braid for my baitcaster and love it.

really... look at what we were using 15 years ago... we all got through reels that were "heavy"! if you can catch fish youre fine. the only reason to have arm problems is if you are a nancy boy!

I used to use siege a lot, before Seaguar Senshi. It's a very good line as an all around casting line for those that don't want to use fluorocarbon. I still use it for top waters and some spinnerbaits from time to time.

Haha I have been fishing since I was 2! But really, I used to use some of the reels my dad had laying around in the basement, Old Abasadours, an old Shimano BantamMag, and a 15 year old quantum energy spining reel. So I got some knowledge on the subject.

By the way still have a bigger PB than you do,

Jack

I love sufix products however I bought a 600 yard spool of seige awhile back and got it in 14lb... mono that heavy just never works out for me. I stripped both reels and changed them over to braid.

My buddy used the 10# Siege mono last year and really liked it. He actually talked me into buying it this year for my top water bass rod and a couple walleye rods.
