I am converting my 8 and 5 year olds to lures this year. I am tired of spending my fishing time putting worms on. So I have helped them stock their tackle boxes with lures for this season. The only thing I forsee as being a problem is wanting to change lures every two minutes because they didnt catch anything. So at BPS I bought these No Knot Fas-snap things. Has anyone ever used them. I did a quick try in the house just to see how quick it is. It will save time and line over tying knots every time. Any one ever used any other types. Thanks. By the way we will be fishing mostly Lake st. Clair for Smallies.

Used them on my fly rod and now on my 2- piece rod in the trunk of my car, for a quick fish on the way to work. They will slowly open up in the gap with each lure change. Just close back up with a needle nose pliers. If your son goes through a lot of lure changes in a day i would throw out the clip at the end of the day. You can only bend metal so many times till it really weakens. ;)

I use them all the time for cranks and spinnerbaits. They are a real timesaver and don't usually change the lure movement but like Maineman says, they DO get weak. Good suggestion to change them. Personally, I'd check them for strength, I think changing after every trip might be extensive but that's just IMO.
