Super User Tuckahoe Joe Posted March 8, 2013 Author Super User Posted March 8, 2013 ^^^ Improved clinch, not an ordinary clinch ^^^ Braided lines are more about diameter not strength as most of the break well over the number on the package. If one is using 20# line that breaks at 30#, don't kid yourself, you are using a thin 30# line, which is good. I meant to say improved clinch. Its been my go to knot for all my mono fishing. Quote
bassinbrian Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 I agree with SirSnookalot, I've never had a problem with the improved clinch with braid. I switch between that and the palomar knot with the same success. Quote
Super User retiredbosn Posted March 8, 2013 Super User Posted March 8, 2013 I know I know....dumb question. But this is my first time using braid and Im having some trouble with the palomar. Any other braided line knot suggestions would be great. If you have a smart phone get the north American fishing club's knot app. Shows how to tie most knots. Think its called knot wars, its free Quote
