5 Dollar Fishing Game Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 March is here and so are the spring temperatures in North Carolina. Getting into the 60s and 70s. I am looking forward to trying out my completed bass boat project this Saturday. As the warmer weather approaches what are you all looking forward to with fishing? Trying out a new rod/reel? Family outing on the water? Quote
loodkop Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Down here in the southern hemisphere we are just entering autumn. I'm looking forward to cooler temps and a big frogging frenzy on my favorite waters. Quote
5 Dollar Fishing Game Posted March 6, 2013 Author Posted March 6, 2013 Loodkop where do you live? Do you mean top water frogs? If so, that's awesome in the colder weather!!! I wish I could catch one on a frog popper here in NC in the winter. :-) Quote

Super User Sam Posted March 6, 2013 Super User Posted March 6, 2013 Loodkop where do you live? Do you mean top water frogs? If so, that's awesome in the colder weather!!! I wish I could catch one on a frog popper here in NC in the winter. :-) Throw it and see what happens. You may be surprised. They have to eat all year. Only in cold water they don't want to move far to expend the energy to grab a snack. Quote
5 Dollar Fishing Game Posted March 6, 2013 Author Posted March 6, 2013 Sam I second the "very little wind". I don't like that stuff. Lol Quote
5 Dollar Fishing Game Posted March 6, 2013 Author Posted March 6, 2013 That's true. My friend and I always wanted to try it. What's to lose? Nothing. Gain experience with the presentation. And maybe a top water explosion. (Chills) ;-) 1 Quote

GoneFishi'n Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Sounds like here in NC! I also think there might be a top water bite. The drastic temperature change from 44 to 66 might make my top water dreams come true haha. Quote
