atrocity123 Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Quick question how do you reference gloomis's 3 model numbers (ex 894) with the corresponding rod? I understand the last number is the power of the rod but don't see what the first two are for? With brands like Dobyns, first 2 are length and 3rd is power. Am I missing something? Quote
Big Tom Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 The first two numbers indicate the rod length in inches. 1 Quote

AzBassin Posted November 25, 2022 Posted November 25, 2022 I too do not understand gloomis however, in my hand now is a 6 ft 6 rod and numbers are 782 C. So now what? Quote

Super User Dwight Hottle Posted November 25, 2022 Super User Posted November 25, 2022 And the C is for casting as opposed to S for spinning. Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted November 25, 2022 Super User Posted November 25, 2022 They are all correct. When you go from imx to imx pro to glx etc. the stiffness is not the same with corresponding numbers. Quote
