As far as I'm concerned, spring is here now!

Must be nice, calling for 4 inches of snow here

I was killing it last week after we had rain that warmed the water up to around 44 degrees. I was getting bass on slow rolled 1/4 spinner baits bounced off any structure I could find, and a few on crappie jigs. They weren't monster fish but hey I'll take it opposed to sitting in the house waiting for winter to pass. Also the pickerel seem to be in prespawn, and are exploding on everything I throw. I don't like catching them but yesterday I landed my PB pickerel that went 2lbs on the dot, then had an even bigger one on that threw the hook. They are all really fat. I have been getting all these fish on my ultra light with 8lb mono so its making for some very fun fishing. Now with this big storm here that's all probably come to a halt.
