BradGuenette Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 So long story short I scored a Shimano deal through work. And I can pick up any 2 reels/rods & 2 spools of PP of my choice at a discounted price. Obviously first choice would be the new Cumara's. I just rounded out my casting rods with 5 new Dobyns Extremes. My spinning setups really need some work as I only have one as of now,7'2" ML Fast Cumara/Ci4. I've been looking alot at two setups. 6'8" MH fast for skipping tubes/senkos under docks. Which could also pull double duty as a tube jig rod for smallies. The 2nd is another dropshot setup, 6'8" Medium X-fast. Would be used for drop shot, shakey heads. Two reels would be another Ci4 and a Sustain So if you had a chance to pick any two shimano rods/reels what would it be? Price is no object. What techniques would you opt for? Quote
thehooligan Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 I'd get those two exact rods with a pair of sustains, would be real nice... Quote
Super User Darren. Posted March 6, 2013 Super User Posted March 6, 2013 I'd get those two exact rods with a pair of sustains, would be real nice... Price is no object, then def the Sustains! Quote
Greenstealth Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 A tranx hg, and a calais dc. I found a calais dc in the cabelas bargain cave marked down pretty far. Didn't pull the trigger. I always wanted to play with one. Quote
War Eagle 44 Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Calais DC Cumara A 7'2" MH X-fast Stella FE Cumara A 7'2" MH fast A person could do a lot of fishing with just these two. Quote
