Wondering about putting a jig trailer combo together. The jig is a 1/4oz Strike King Bitsy Bug in a eith a dark brown skirt. It looks black but in the light it appears more dark chocolate brown(for arguments sake well say the skirt is black.) I'd like to pair this with a Green Pumpkin Baby Rage Craw. As far as natural goes, would it be safe to say these colors compliment each other? Would the Baby Rage Craw be too large an offering on this jig, should I trim it down?

That combo will work just fine. you may have to trim one section off the baby rage craw depending on how long you like your skirt.

Wont know until you try it.  You can always cut off the tip a bit to tighten up the profile.  It should work.

Don't buy the bitsy flip jigs. Idk about the normal bitsy bugs but the bitsy flips are AWFUL. I got one as a gift and the head was asymmetrical, the weedguard was off to the side (not even protecting the hook), and the hook point rusted and dulled after 1 use.

If it's more black than brown you should use a black and blue trailer.

A lot of this is personal preference, but I think the Baby Rage Craw is an excellent trailer for small jigs.  In cooler weather I sometimes like to use a trailer with a little less action than a Rage Craw but most of the year that would be my trailer of choice.  I also like the trailer to blend in with my jig.  For that reason I tend to use the dirty craw and alabama Rage Craw colors with brownish jigs, green pumpkin and summer craw with green pumpkin jigheads, and blue/black craws with black and blue jigheads.  I will occasionally use a green pumpkin trailer with a brown jighead.

I love the baby rage craws but for a small jig like that I have used a small craw that they sell a Walmart. I can't remember the name I think it is arkie or something like that. I really love them on small jigs. They are alot smaller and seem to fit the jig better. Also Yamamoto made a small craw that is awesome! I don't know if they still make them. You still can't go wrong with the baby rage craw though!

I totally agree with you. I tried them several times in different sizes and found them cheap and inferior in skirt, quality and hook point. I went to a similar almost identical alternative and am very happy.

As far as trailers go, I use black/blue, brown and green pumpkin jig heads, and have never had any issues catching fish with all kind of  different colored rage tail or paca chunks trailers. They all work

I don't use a Bitsy Flip much but I do use a different finesse style jig that's pretty close in size to the Bitsy and the baby Rage Craws work great. Here's a pic just for you to kinda get an idea of how it would look. Both these are 1/4oz just different companies.
