jerkw8nonajerk01 Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Other than popper please....I know...I know...popper... Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted April 16, 2010 Super User Posted April 16, 2010 Zara puppy, heddon tiny and teeny torpedos, and the arbogast hocust locust. Don't forget booyah's 1/8 ounce pond magic buzzbait either, or accent's hi rider in that weight too. You can crawl that baby slower than any other buzzbait. Quote
Flippin & Pitchin Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Other than a frog, the zara puppy is what I have the most luck with. Quote
Super User Bassin_Fin@tic Posted April 16, 2010 Super User Posted April 16, 2010 Baby chug bug (popper) Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted April 16, 2010 Super User Posted April 16, 2010 A second on the 1/8oz buzzbait. Also, the Tiny Torpedo. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted April 16, 2010 Super User Posted April 16, 2010 The Zara Puppy (silver & black) is the most productive topwater lure I have ever fished. However, I don't actually fish it anymore, the fish I always caught were small. 8-) Quote
jerkw8nonajerk01 Posted April 17, 2010 Author Posted April 17, 2010 Good intel fellas..I actually picked up a baby chug bug and i love it. speaking of spooks...i must fish em wrong..do strikes come on the walk or the stop? what prey does walk the dog mimic? I ve never had ANY luck on spooks...but never fished a small one. just the larger..and i think it may have been too large in comparison to forage..anyone like the spittin image..its crazy...you can walk the dog...pop it..if you give it a small sweep it skitters on top spitting the whole way... i like it Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted April 17, 2010 Super User Posted April 17, 2010 Most strikes on poppers come when you pause, right after it bloops, or right when you blip it again after a pause. Sometimes though dog walking with a popper gets me more strikes than stop and go. Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted April 17, 2010 Super User Posted April 17, 2010 Anybody here use the teeny torpedo? At 1/16 ounce you pretty much need 6 pound mono and medium light spinning tackle to throw it though. Quote
