If he takes that deal that would be a best case. If he insistant on starter for starter maybe see if he would take Tillman, he looks good on paper and while I am an O's fan, could emplode any day now.

Anytime, I love crunching the numbers

I countered with Tillman, Papelbon, and Juan Francisco for Beltre and Gee.  Their respective values are pretty much dead nuts.

Nice did he take it?

Milwaukee's system is dry. They gutted the farm for the Greinke and Marcum trades, while sending other pieces here and there for guys like K-Rod, Morgan, etc.

Maybe so but bad decisions shouldn't warrant extra picks. I mean look at all the crappy moves the phillies made before.

Are yet to make  :dazed-7: .....Amaro ran his course next please

Amaro has ignored the offense way to long. This off season is a huge one. Lots of big name free agents on the team

He countered with Beltre, Gee, and Wheeler for Prado, Papelbon, and Masterson.  The only issue here is as much as Prado is been down all year, he is really my only option at 2B...and our wire is ridiculously thin at 2B.

They definitely weren't bad decisions, as they let to a trip to the NLCS.  It was worth it: the Crew has made the playoffs twice in the last few years...before that the last time was 1982.  :cry4:

I just got a text from him, and he would take Juan Francisco in place of Prado.  I just don't know if I want to give up that much pitching for one bat, though the value is there.

yeah that is all you. It is a lot, Gee and Wheeler aren't half bad, if you don't need saves then I would consider it, I think both them guys could win 7 a piece the second half

Well Braun is down how many more to go?!?! I made the nessecary waiver wire aquisitions, only have 1 named player on both my teams.

You all think fallout from this will help clean up the game? shape the playoffs? If texas loses Cruz that will be a blow to them.

What your thoughts on Chris Davis he swears he is clean, the only two guys I believe are Fielder and Miggy because they look like they never hit a gym before and they have produced since day one. Davis scares me a bit, I want to believe in him but I know from Palmero that you cannot trust anyone. Let's just say I am not willing to bet my salary on that. LOL

There are some good ones there.  I can't believe they included that Amy trash skank.

The fire sale has started: http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/07/orioles-acquire-francisco-rodriguez-from-brewers.html

I almost forgot to mention but you remember when the brewers played in Philly in the playoffs in 2008 with the rental of sabathia?  I was at the game where blanton worked a 8 or 9 pitch walk and oh yeah i almost forgot, the flyin' Hawaiian hit a grand slam :)

Of course that was countered with my last playoff game where i was able to watch the never criticized in philly for some unbeknownst to me reason,  gave up a 4 run lead to the cardinals.

Man, I'll never forget that at bat.  Talk about the phrase beat it like a rental.

From yahoo sports....."Highly-regarded Cuban starting pitcher Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez signed on with the Phillies, getting a six-year package worth $50 million. Gonzalez, 26, isn't expected to need much time in the minors; Yahoo's Jeff Passan figures the Phillies will bring Gonzalez to The Show at some point in late August . . ."

but can he hit??  that is what the Phillies sorely need.  I believe it is fire sale time....and Papelbon has to open his big mouth and say he didn't come to Philly to lose but it isn't like he has been a beast this year....

Last time he opened his big mouth he blew 4 out of 5 saves.  Get this bum out of town....once a masshole always a masshole lol

Yep I saw that, send him packing. I hear Lee may go and the O's and Rangers are kicking the tires on M.Young. Ruf has looked pretty good so far.

Man I saw the Giants might trade pence, they mentioned what the phils got for him...someone should be fired for that deal. They gave him away.

I really like that I just read the Brewers are giving all fans that show up in August $10 to spend on food in the park, pretty cool thing to do.

Braun's salary plus some. It is ashame they are the ones trying to fix the the wrong done not that dooouche who insisted he was clean. I hope no one every lets him play again, owners and fans need to send a message. They should take the hr records away from the steroid 3, I wanna see Big Mac cry like a school girl again.
