swanseabass Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Do u think it makes a diffence if the last treble hook has a fleather or deer hair on it?? Quote
kylek Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 It may make the difference on one day but the not on the next. You just have to fish them both ways and see what the fish are eating that day. My main ones that I use do not have the feather on it, but I have a few in the box that do... just in case Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 4, 2013 Global Moderator Posted March 4, 2013 The only thing it seems to effect is how many crappie I catch on my jerkbait. 1 Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted March 4, 2013 Super User Posted March 4, 2013 I have a large collection with and without feathers. I don't think it makes any difference. Quote
Bass Dude Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 I don't think it matters to the fish. I think what matters more is which one you have more confidence in. Quote
Super User OkobojiEagle Posted March 4, 2013 Super User Posted March 4, 2013 Feather trebles will flair open on a pause more than buck tail. I've tied some trebles with a natural colored feather (white, olive, grey or yellow) over a tuft of bright orange buck tail. Can't say it made a significant difference. oe Quote
swanseabass Posted March 4, 2013 Author Posted March 4, 2013 Does it mess with the action of the jerkbait Quote
Super User OkobojiEagle Posted March 4, 2013 Super User Posted March 4, 2013 Does it mess with the action of the jerkbait Depends on the jerkbait, how much dressing you use and how YOU work your bait. Don't over dress the treble and it shouldn't cause a discernible difference. oe Quote
