What type of equipment you guys carry to go fishing? Wheter it's bank fishing or not. I mainly bank fish since I'm boatless so I carry a rod holder incase I sink, a hunting knife for protection, a flashlight for early morning or late night fishing, matches just incase needed, piler for fish, nail clipper to clip off fishing lines, and sometime a foldable chair backpack.

I fish from the bank too and try and keep it as simple as possible.  I just bring 2 rods and my tackle box.  The tacklebox holds all my lures/plastics/hooks/weights, pliers, and a camera/batteries.  Theres a couple spots where I can park right next to where Im fishing and in that case, Ill tie my baits on at the car and leave the tackle box in the trunk until needed.

A simple backpack can make bank fishing a lot more enjoyable. I have all of my tackle, tools, first aid, rain gear all in one convenient place. Makes getting to the secret spot a whole lot easier. I also bring two rods .

Yep, bank fisher here and I bring a back pack with tackle, tools, a small towel, something to eat/drink, and two rods.

I bank fish as well, but many of the spots I fish are near to very near where I park. I take sometimes as many as 8 rods, but will normally only take 3-4 to the spot. I also carry a tackle bag that has too much tackle, and it doubles as a place to lean my rods against.

One rod, extra leader, 3 or 4 extra lures in a pocket box and a multitool.  My selection of lures changes to the body of water Im fishing sometimes.

I bank fish, too. I keep it simple with two rod and reels (spinning and casting), and a plano tackle box. In this i have hard lures, plastics, terminal tackle, a scale, extra line and my phone to take pictures.

I carry two rods, and a scaled down version of my tackle box with just the essentials.  I leave the food and drink in the car.

depends. if im bank fishing from my uncles dock at Smith Mtn Lake then i carry my whole tackle bag and 6 rods usually. along with a cooler of ice cold Budweiser, and a radio for some tunes, usually classic rock and Saturday nights Dee Sniders House Of Hair metal show. i will also take down the landing net and a bucket that i fill with water. i use it for washing my hands if i use chicken livers or some small bluegill i happen to catch in case i decide to use cut bait later. usually this is night fishing. i will also take a trash bag for my beer cans and empty bait containers.

if im going elsewhere i will pack up a backpack with a couple lure boxes and some terminal tackle in there. pliers, snacks, drinks. just a few essentials. maybe a fold up chair in a bag i can carry if im going to live bait fish. i will carry a couple rods and thats it.

When bank fishing I have one rod and a small tacklebag with some plastics, cranks, spinnerbaits and terminal tackle. As for equipment I have some pliers, knife, small scale, towel.

Fishing from a boat I have three rods, a BPS Extreme 370 Qualifier tacklebag with more tackle than I care to enumerate, scent, pliers, towel, gloves, sunscreen, line clipper, lure retriever, first aid kit, rain gear, and other stuff I can't remember.

Bank fishing...1 baitcaster and 1 spinning most of the time. Either one soft tackle bag with plano boxes in it with all sorts of stuff inside (pliers, grippers for toothy fish in the dark, scissors, clippers, etc) Or maybe just one or 2 plano boxes of what I'm looking to use that day in a backpack plus a couple extra things along with a drink and maybe a granola bar or trail mix or something. Either way I'll have one pistol on me and a large bottle of poland spring water or a thermos of filtered water from home and a surefire flashlight in case it gets dark.

I like to be prepared but I don't want to lug around 50lbs of weight. I will have a setup in the car with one small plano box to stop at a spot and fish for an hour or 2 on my way home from work. That's a mixed bag though depending on the season.

Bank fishing, I take my whole tackle bag and sweat over what 3 rods to take of the 6 I normally use. Common sense dictates a spinning rod but 90% of my baits are thrown on casting gear and I hate to waste a rod I won't use. Luckily some of my bank fishing spots are right next to parking so I can usually take all my gear. I don't fool with chairs since I don't bait fish. I do take drinks and food though.
