Missouribassman95 Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 The title says it all. In your guys opinion, what line would you recomend for an all-purpose line? On a spinning setup, and baitcasting. Thanks, Quote

Super User Goose52 Posted March 2, 2013 Super User Posted March 2, 2013 ...and I use YZ-Ultrasoft - 6 or 8lb on spinning, 8 or (mostly) 10lb on casting. Quote
Super User retiredbosn Posted March 3, 2013 Super User Posted March 3, 2013 YZ hybrid, 12 on baitcasting and 6 or 4 on spinning. 1 Quote
Super User Darren. Posted March 3, 2013 Super User Posted March 3, 2013 I like YZH, too, but let me suggest P-Line Floroclear in 6-15 lb tests. I know some of the folks here have had bad experiences with it, but in 3 years of using the mist green in various sizes, I've had zero issues with breakage except where I was snagged and force-broke the line. I think it fishes a little better than YZH. My .02. 1 Quote

I bought some new line today to try out though, I got yozuri hybrid soft, seaguar red label, and sunline sniper. I'll give u a heads up with these lines. I'm making it a goal to try the vicious flouro as well.... 1 Quote

Thanks, If by All-Purpose you mean can do everything then I would say get yourself nice Mono. Since back when thats all they had, people used this for just about everything. This is not great for bottom contact stuff though. What I would do is go with mono for floating applications and Fluoro for any bait that stays underwater. Pretty simple and effective. For everything that Quote
