NEjitterbugger Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Nothing too special, I caught one fish that actually took some line and put up a fight (the jack). Here are some pics from the trip... Quote

NEjitterbugger Posted March 2, 2013 Author Posted March 2, 2013 where in Florida? North Palm Beach, right when the Earman River flows into the lake worth lagoon across from mungion island I think... Im gonna go down again with my dad and a friend, minus the sister lol... And we saw tons of snook they were eating glass minnows they are so darn stubborn! It was a blast to actually see them feeding... I'll post a pic of all the snook under the light... Quote
NEjitterbugger Posted March 2, 2013 Author Posted March 2, 2013 Here is a pic of all the snook under the dock... You can make out the fish... Quote
NEjitterbugger Posted March 2, 2013 Author Posted March 2, 2013 Since I'm planning on another trip when is the best time for saltwater action in the ICW... Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted March 2, 2013 Super User Posted March 2, 2013 Since I'm planning on another trip when is the best time for saltwater action in the ICW... Best SW action is late summer and fall. Fish when the bait is starting to dissipate, when snook and tarpon are gorging on live bait it's hard to hook them on artificial. You're in the prime area of the ICW for 20-40# jack crevelles, Palm beach is known for them. Fish the bike path just north of Flagler bridge on the east side, and bring a bigger rod, lol. Quote
NEjitterbugger Posted March 2, 2013 Author Posted March 2, 2013 Thanks, I saw some jacks close to 10 or 15lbs chasing a small school of fish close to 8 inches- mullet? Well I look forward to heading down again and hopefully it will be more productive than one 4-5 pound jack.... Still put up a good fight and the trip was still fun... Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted March 2, 2013 Super User Posted March 2, 2013 You're fishing from an area that is literaly a couple hundred yards away from an awesome snapper hole, but you need a boat or kyak to access it. Quote

I catch so many small snapper on squid off the bottom... Throwing it as far as i can and just put it in a rod holder... Is there a place to rent kayks around there... Quote
