I've only owned one buzzbait in my life and have caught tons of bass on it but it finally broke down at the end of last year. I'm gonna buy a couple more soon and wanted to know what size you prefer? I believe I had a 1/4 ounce but not quite sure. I usually fish them though pads and bulrushes in 1-4 fow.

Thanks,

Joe

Just a personal preference, but I use the Strike King Buzz King Jr., tri-wing blade, which I think weighs 3/16 oz.

I fish a 3/8oz black on black Cavitron almost exclusively.

I'm in the same boat, but I acquired some other colors and the 1/4 oz version.

Going to give these a try and report results. I'll bet they perform just as well

as 3/8 Black on Black. The Cavitron is THE BOMB!

Another for the Cavitrons..........in both 1/4 and 3/8.  Also have heard some good things, but have no experience Warrior Baits Warpath buzzbait. I may pick one up to see for myself what all the hype is about.

Cavitron 3/8 in ghost minnow with gold blade and black with black blade or gold blade. Will pick up a few 1/4 sometime here soon before April.

Will the 3/8 oz cavitrons stay on top at slow speeds?

Just racked up on my MegaStrike stuff at the Suffern NY show. That included another Cavitron. :)

Yes, the 1/4oz has to be moved quite a bit faster, that's why I prefer the 3/8oz. The tri winged Strike King Buzz King Jr can be fished extremely slowly but something about the Cavitron just catches me more and bigger fish.

OK. You all convinced me. I ordered the above from Cavitron a couple of days ago and am anxious to see what happens. Never caught a fish on a buzzbait before.

Google 'Loose Hook Buzzbait' you will be amazed how many more fish you will catch as compaired to a normal buzzbait, almost impossiable for the fish to throw one after they are hooked.  I made and sold those baits in the '90s and early 2000s to pay for my tournamet trails fishing.  My dead brother-in-laws family are makeing them.
