PondLvr Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Is there a difference between square and round spoon crank baits? Or any benefits of the two? Quote
SudburyBasser Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Square bill allegedly bounces off stuff better and leads to fewer hang ups. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 28, 2013 Global Moderator Posted February 28, 2013 Squarebills do tend to bounce off of and roll over cover better than round billed baits but the baits with round bills tend to run deeper than squarebills. Quote
papajoe222 Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 There is also a difference in the way each displaces water, so not only is the side to side movement different, so is what a bass will interpret via it's lateral line. Kind of like the difference between a flat sidded bait and a fat bodied one. Quote
