I can never for the life of me explain why people drop comments like this on a guys thread.

To the OP, you will love them. I have 4 and use them daily.

Yeah, not like he's going to return the rods and get them on eBay instead. Great rod though.

Maybe he's the eBay seller?  Just kidding, well it's possible he's just dropping the deal for the rest of the fellas that a good deal is on, but I can see and agree with you on that.  I don't think it was to make the guy feel bad.

As for the OP - I have the MH/F 7'3 and it's one of my favorites.  I'm waiting for the money to be raised to buy two more rods.  A new Veritas is on my short list.

I almost didn't get the 7'0 medium but I don't use regular heavy rods much..I wanted the 7'6 winch model but they didn't have it..and out of impulse I just grabbed the 7 medium cause I use medium rods alot here lately..

HAHA I know what you mean.  I have a family to support so my budget is limited.  A good portion of my arsenal is used too, 50% of my arsenal was used.  If I didn't go that route I'd probably be broke and divorced.

You should like them alot. I have 3 now and wouldn't be opposed to owning more. I also love the customer service from Abu/Pure Fishing if and when needed.

Because someone was asking about where the OP got them at that price. I was letting whoever asked know that if they're interested in buying a rod that they can pick it up for even a bit cheaper.

I got me 2 new veritas rods today. 7' MH and a 7' M. I've been a fan of the Shimano Clarus, but after breaking 3 of them I thought i'd try these. They sure feel like they will be awesome rods.

The best part is that he supported his local tackle shop, keeping the money in his local commuity.

Now that Walmart Sponsors the FLW they sell just about everything BPS sells and I bought Veritas off their website for $75. I believe it is $75 for the casting micro guide, $78 casting winch, $99 for spinning and normal casting....I own 5 Veritas in all types and love them, the only rod I have switched to from the veritas is the Villain from Abu but that was when they were $129 not $179 as they are now.
