Been hearing alot about Morning Dawn color. Here is a version I just made up.

Pink on one side and blue pearl powder and a few drops of red on the other.

Both sides have 015 Ocean flake

Pretty cool looking. Have you ever caught anything on that bright of a blue?

I have made Senkos in what I call Electric Blue, and do real well with them. Normally I stay away from blue baits, but I have not seen a Senko color they wont bite.

Here is a Tequila color that works well. Bait is all one color but changes in the light andthickness

BTW baits are for myself as a hobby and I dont sell them

I was just curious. I have heard of the electric blue as well and tequila, however never fished them. It's good to know that these colors work so well. I would have never thought that.

Pics didn't come through on your second post above mine.

Cadman, tequila has been a great producer for me in stained and even muddy water.Theres some lakes I used to fish in the eastern part of the state(VA) very tannic and swampy that I wouldnt leave home without a bag or two in this color.

Thanks, I'll have to try to find some and use them this summer.

According to the book Knowing Bass blue and purple hues show up best in the water. Explains why they are some of the best producing lure colors.

Nice pours, good colors.

Personally I've not had a lot of success on blue/purples. Some, but not a lot.

I agree and prefer greens and especially browns. Junebug is good though.

Thanks all...Bill

I really like the color of your tequila sunrise Comfortaly Numb,, would you send me a PM of the recipe?

I would really appreceiate it.

I have not made that color in a while. It was a "mistake" color LOL.

I have written in my files...

8 oz clear plastic

1/8 teaspoon LC pearl blue powder

30 drops LC strawberry (any red should work)

Give that a try in a smaller batch

Comfortably Numb,

Ok, so if I may ask, have you or anyone else used this color on trailer craws like the Paca chunk or Ragetail style plastic baits. If so does this color work well on that also?

Posted

To be honest I dont really throw those color. I would imagine they would as bass have been known to hit wackier colors than that. You never know till you try

cadman, my favorite jig trailer in stained water is sapphire blue trailer on a black/blue jig. We were on a trip in Wisconsin and the only way to get bit was to be using the saphire blue trailer. I personally went through 3 packs of the saphire rage craws, then had to switch to the flippin blue paca chunks. I also love that color as a trailer for a black/blue chatterbait.

Looks very nice, kind of looks like the Culprit Fire and ice color I used to catch a lot of fish on when I was a kid.
