Hey all, just picked this up tonight at the Hampton BPS. They were just about to start stocking them and I grabbed one off the cart per the fishing manager's recommendation. Picked the Blue back herring color.

Anyone fished these yet? Any tips?

The new Rogue that was introduced at the Classic is "The Perfect 10".

I think the Pro Series was introduced several years ago. As I recall, the

main feature was Gamakatsu Treble Hooks. What does the packaging

highlight?

Well, when I was looking at the Rogues hanging on the shelves, the manager (a friend) walked up, said he's got new ones just in. I assumed those were the Perfect 10's, but he said they weren't, they were Pro Rogues, suspending.

Now I could have misunderstood what he meant by "new". They were only $4.99, so that left me wondering, too. We didn't have time to chat, so I didn't get to ask him further.

Oh, and there's no highlights on the package, no word on hooks, etc. The back simply lists recommended ways to fish it.

I could be wrong, but the Pro designation had to do with colors.  The Limited has realistic scaling.  The Perfect 10 is a new lure.

I bought the 3 different ones they had at my local BP. Hoping to get to use them today. I had to add a snap ring to two of them, but the other suspended perfectly. And those d**n hooks are sharp!!!!!

Which did you get? The Pro Rogue like my picture?

I bought a Rogue last year or the year before which was a couple of bucks more expensive

than the standard lure because of the Gamakatsu hooks. I will examine it more closely this

evening, but I don't recall an other changes in design.

I doubt you'll find an Okie that doesn't have a few Rogues in their box.  Dang good bait.  Even the older ones are deadly!

Unless I'm missing it, I can't find the "Rogue Pro" on lurenet, which smithwicklures.com directs you to. I was under the impression it was new as they weren't on the shelves yet at BPS.

The ones that are a couple bucks more were the suspending limited edition. It cames in some different "limited"  colors as well as the hooks. My buddy got one in the sour grape.

"New" as defined by a BPS employee, and "new" from the manu are often two entirely different things.  I had an employee tell me about the "new" drop shot bait: Roboworms, lol.  BPS also has a lot of exclusive baits and tackle.

Agreed. Ya figure when the department manager says so, it is so. I should know better.
