I grabbed a daiwa zillion for $170!

I went to Bass Pro Shop Fishing Classic Sale on Friday Feb 22nd. I Was going to buy Revo Stx Baitcaster... Then I felt and touched the Abu Revo Mgx Baitcaster only 5.3 ounces! I was sold! I bought a Abu Garcia Revo MGX Baitcaster 7:1:1 in picture below

What Reel or Rod did you buy? or will be buying?

Its nice and easy ride. Roads were clear. Gurnee BPS is much bigger than east peoria.

I got to BPS 9:15 Friday morning and they had 1 unopened 50mg left so snatched that up got some Palm trees Kanzen braid Rap UL Crank and Rocket Shad

 

Thats how you do it. Congrats on getting a core. It just hasnt happened for me yet.

First time to BPS, ever... The haul:

• Two new spinning rods (7' MF & MHF Tourney Specials)
• Two new spinning reels (Pflueger President 35-size and Trion 30-size)
• Three bags of Stick-Os
• A couple packs of Money Minnows
• Sundry bargain cranks my son really wanted...

 

Plus, bless my soul, there's a Capriotti's near the BPS in Foxoboro, MA!  What an unexpected blessing!

 

Other than the plastics and the cranks, I don't think we capitalized on the sale... But, it was a ton of fun having a day out with the boy.  Wouldn't change it for the world.  

 

The two rods will get two Presidents (one from a Pflueger combo I bought last year and the new one), and the Trion will go on the soon-to-be reel-less Pflueger rod as an upgrade for my son this year.

I picked up a Revo sx spinning reel and a 7'2" MF carbonlite rod. An Abu Cardinal S reel and a BPS microlite "glass" rod ultralight setup. A few bags of superflukes and a few bags of worms and some other misc. things.

I tried to convince my wife to buy me another baitcaster, but she wasn't having it.

The combo I wanted wasnt offered in a lefty and they didnt have a single daiwa in the store on sale so they didnt get my money on that. As soon as I got home I remembered all kinds of stuff I forgot and had to make an order from TW. I also came home to my new rims/tires for the trailer and 5 - j9s that I had ordered.

I didn't get anything. My son called me up and said "Dad. I need 3 old reels and  a rod to trade in at the classic You've got all that crap in the garage so find me some". I found him what he wanted and he texted me from BPS $617 He really liked thay MGX but opted for a few Quantums. I beleive the rod trade in is still going on and he's getting another Veritas. That tax refund is going quick
