Many of you commented on this reel which I posted up in the "Tacklemaking" section a few weeks ago.  It is time for me to let her go...

Contest details listed below.

----------------------------------

Anyone who purchases a Hawg Handle in the month of March, will be automatically entered to win the Cardiff reel shown in the picture below. This is a one-of-a-kind reel which I promise you fishes as good as it looks.

The reel is only slightly used...maybe 10 hours on it. The side plates are finished with a black hydro-dipped carbon fiber pattern. Of course, the Hawg Handle comes included. We'll even keep the line on there for you. Basically, exactly what you see here in the picture is what you get.

To be entered in the giveaway you must purchase a Hawg Handle between 12:01AM March 1, 2013 and 11:59PM March 31, 2013. You can enter more than once. If you purchase more than one handle, you will be awarded separate entries for each handle purchased. The winner will be chosen randomly from all valid entries on April 1st at 8:00PM EST.

Good luck to all...

I would guess between 1/50 and 1/100...  Pretty good odds for a reel that is probably worth ~$300.

Any idear of the odds?

Your odds increase with every handle you purchase. Even if you lose you still win.   :laugh5:

Still have a few more days left on our "Hawged Out" Cardiff giveaway.

Many of you BR members have ordered Hawg Handles during the month of March....Robert and I thank you for that.    Those of you who have ordered...I just sent an email to you confirming that you are entered in the contest.

You receive one entry for each Hawg Handle purchased, so those who have purchased multiple handles have an excellent chance in winning this one-of-a-kind reel.   The contest is still open a couple more days if you would like to put the odds a little further in your favor.

Those who haven't purchased yet or who are on the fence thinking about it...now would be an excellent time to upgrade your handle (and maybe your reel as well!) before the Spring fishing kicks in full gear.

Thanks!

Congratulations, Paul M (Bass Resource member: Slonezp)!

He is the winner of the "Hawged Out" Shimano Cardiff reel, with hydrodipped housings and Hawg Handle.  He helped his odds in this contest, ordering three handles during the month of March.

Congratulations, Paul!  I know you will love this reel as much as I do (did...)

I haven't prepared a speech. I'd like to thank all those who made this possible. My father for not using a condom 43 years ago. Bass Resource, Shimano, and most of all Hawg Tech for making a highly functional work of art. I used the handle I ordered last year for the first time this past Saturday, on a Revo STX(not the one in the pic) Has a really good feel to it and an even better look. Matches the trim on the new boat. A little history for you naysayers. I had never thought of ordering a reel handle until I stepped on my Revo and bent the handle. Just so happened it was around the same time Hawg Tech started advertising on BR. I used the bent handle for the remaining of the season and ordered the new handle during the off season. I really like the carbon fiber look but I'm a sucker for cork. Cork just looks classy to me, and fishing and cork go hand in hand. Hell, you can only get cork with expensive wine nowadays.  Now if I could only get the red annodized caps for my Ardents. :wink2: The box with the 3 handles was waiting at my door when I got back from the lake on Saturday. Here is a pic of the result.

Ha ha...good stuff.

Not to spoil the surprise too much, but I will be putting together the first red anodized Hawg Handles this Wednesday.  Gonna make a few "limited edition" handles with the aluminum pieces (carrier, retainer, end cap, spindle) all anodized red.

You are on the list for some red anodized caps and I should be able to get those out to you Thursday.

Congrats again, Paul.

That's a sweet looking reel you just won. Might make for a great swimbait reel.

Not sure what I'm going to use it for. Never owned a Shimano. Not sure if they're any good   I need to find a rod to match it up with.

Congrats man! I'm a Shimano guy and will gladly take it off your hands! I'm local too!  :)
