Seems interesting. May grab one if i come across some but doesn't look like anything to run out and grab immediatly.

I'm going to grab a couple at the Expo.  If they are like all the other Rapala's, easily broken, I will not purchase more.  I'll be done.

Jury will be out for me until I see one in person.

My thing is, why is it so great for a crankbait to swim "erratically"? I thought cranks were meant to bang into cover/structure, keeping in contact with the surroundings and stirring stuff up.

Just wondering why I would want something to swim that way when it is not banging into things? If I were a predator fish (no, I am not), I would not want to chase down the crazy little meth head fish darting around in open water. I'd want to eat the dumb one that kept running into the stump I was sitting beside.

Maybe I just don't get it.

Will try these out, kind of stoked about them.

On a durability note, I've only ever had two rapala bills break on me. One was my fault for trying to melt it and bend it into a new shape, the other was a super old lure that had been through war.  I've cast rapalas onto and through rip rap, bounced them off trees and concrete bridge supports with no problems so far. I keep seeing posts about their durability but just don't see it with my lures. I have had durability problems with Mann's cranks, Bagleys (and most other balsa baits) and even Megabass lures (have had two griffons split right down the center) but never Rapala. Maybe I've just been lucky.

Unless I hear that this lure is so great that bass put it on their lines to catch other bass, I'll wait and see. I'm past the point now of running out and buying the next, new, now when it comes to lures.

i dont see what the big deal was about. Just another overpriced Rapala to me.

I will probably buy one or two and see how they do.  Am really interested in how they do with some of the toothy critters!!! I think Pike and Musky will really like the erratic action it imparts.  I don't see it as anything revolutionary.  Although it may start a race for other companies to develop different lips on their baits as well.

I will give them a good workout this year and see what I think at the end of the season. If anyone can make a revolutionary lure it is surely Rapala. The original floating minnow made bass fishing easier for everybody.

Hunting is a very old term for crank baits that run off to the side like that. A very desirable feature at times. The old Wiggle Wart is very good for that. Funny thing when Rapala bought Storm they tried to correct that "problem" thought it was a flaw. Now it is the greatest thing ever, I guess we will see.

I don't know...

"Revolutionary lures" to me are the Original Floating Rapala and the Senko.

The closest thing today is The Rig.

RW I think you could add the original "rubber" worm to that short list.  I think Creme was the first.

To answer your question, I will stick to my JDM CrankBaits....That being said it will be interesting to see what those that purchase them will have to say........

I predict it will go the way of the Diawa Viento twitch bar.

I'm still surprise people keep saying rapalas break. I have just started bass fishing but before that I was fishing rivers a lot. I have always used shad raps and bang them off rip raps and rocks/gravel. Never had one break. I have used KVD cranks for a year and had one break on me and not to mention the red eye shad LC paints chip like no other. Yet SK gets all the love and I bet KVD himself is part of the reason. That just shows you the power of marketing and sponsorship.

But I will not preorde these. I find it amusing they are making it like its limited. Soon enough it'll be all over in my fleet farm store. I will buy some and try it.

"Chase down the crazy little meth head fish" maybe the funniest thing Ive read here. Litterally sitting here alone laughing my @$$ off. Great mental image

I'll try them for sure, but I agree with previous poster, probably a fad that won't last. Fishermen are always trying to get their baits to run straight!
