Hey, what are some of your favorite ways to bed fish, or "sight fish". Never really sight fished the spawn, I just fished it, im gonna try and fish the spawn hard this year using the sight fishing technique and need to hear some ways to do it.

A bait that stays over the bed for a long time. A weightless senko or drop shot. I adjust the lenght of the tag end on the drop shot until I know my lure is right in front of the bed fish's face. Patience is key. It might take many casts to catch one fish. A good, quick release is nice for once you catch one.

I like to throw weightless, wacky lizards! And Senkos. I thought to throw lizards last spawn and man did the bass react!

You might want to try some bluegill imitations as well. Bass hate bluegills in and around their bed during spawn because they are known to eat the eggs.

I like a tube style bait or small creature bait.  Usually in white or pearl with a some black fleck in them.   I texas rig it and put a red glass bead in between the bait and a bullet tungsten weight.  Most of the water I fish is stained to murky.  But it works!

A small, usually pretty visible bait. I don't think color is much of an issue for the bass, you just want to be able to see the bait when a fish noses up to it. Smaller sizes for the reason that sometimes the bass will only try to move the bait by picking it up by the tail.. -so you want to increase your odds of the part being picked up has a hook in it.

I love using 5" Senkos and Fat Ika's during the spawn, but I've also had great luck with a dropshot too, especially when u r able to sight fish.

Drop shot works wonders for bedding fish as its in the strike zone longer.  I use lizards and jigs or whatever works lol  LakeForkGuy has an awesome youtube video on bedding bass, he makes into a science almost.
