Super User roadwarrior Posted February 20, 2013 Super User Posted February 20, 2013 http://www.foxnews.com/science/2013/02/20/coal-cleanest-energy-source-there-is/ The United States has enough coal to last until the dinosaurs come back! Quote
Super User tomustang Posted February 20, 2013 Super User Posted February 20, 2013 The time it would take to retrofit a plant it would be too late, since DEP keeps shutting coal power plants down and they are forced to convert to nat gas.... There's still the coal ash problem. Quote
Super User MCS Posted February 20, 2013 Super User Posted February 20, 2013 I hear wood burning facilities are the wave of the future. Coal, nat gas are good too, an abundance but not renewable. Quote
Super User retiredbosn Posted February 20, 2013 Super User Posted February 20, 2013 Very cool, and nit allot of funding wasted in research, unlike MOX which will probably never work, despited hundreds of millions spent on research. Quote
ClackerBuzz Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 isn't fox "news" banned in canada? Quote
Super User Darren. Posted February 21, 2013 Super User Posted February 21, 2013 Someone get that cold fusion reactor working...post haste. Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted February 21, 2013 Super User Posted February 21, 2013 isn't fox "news" banned in canada? Yep, the "free speech" crowd does not like to be disagreed with. Quote
Sfritr Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Looks like a lump of coal in my stocking every year isn't such a bad thing after all. Quote
Snakehead Whisperer Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 isn't fox "news" banned in canada? Not even close. Fox is available from almost every Canadian cable provider. That urban myth can be debunked with a 10 second Google search. On a side note my wife brings up a good point. Perpetuating rumors like 'Fox News is banned in Canada' without doing the proper fact checking is the exact same dissemination of misinformation that Fox is so hated for (well, kind of.) Sorry for the ramble. And BTW, I don't support or like Fox News in any way. Quote
Super User Sam Posted February 21, 2013 Super User Posted February 21, 2013 Making good sense and using correct logic is not needed to be elected to Congress or any other political position. Quote
greyleg33 Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Certainly not bad news. Doesn't obviate the need to rip down mountains or for open cast mines. Quote
