soccplayer07 Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 you'll be fine with a brush hog. I do well with hogs and lizards in the spring. I would also add traps, spinner baits and jerk baits to your list. good luck Quote
The Bassinator Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Caught one yesterday near some rocks in the shade Quote
russ0101 Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 in the beginning of march and 50* water temps, i was flipping a 6" brush hog and caught a 6.1# off the bank.. last week caught another 4 & 3lb texas rigging baby brush hogs on roads beds.. lipless cranks, senkos, baby brush hogs, lizards and craw patterned cranks are all I throw in April.. and they aren't on beds yet in the part of GA I live in Quote
Captain Obvious Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Caught one yesterday near some rocks in the shade Same here I was fishing it t-rigged on a 1/4 oz round jig and dragging it slowly across the bottom. Good luck Quote
Maico1 Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Try a 4/0 Yamamoto Shakey Head Jig with the baby. Quote
LilJakeC1 Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Try fishing the baby brush hog on a shakey head. It has great action and is my favorite bait to use on a shakey head Quote
SausageFingers23 Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Had some good action on the version (c-rigged) recently in reasonably cold water. Quote
bryand82487 Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Anything in junebug color this time of year works good for me. Quote
