JT Bagwell Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 What is your favorite AR15 brand? I have one from Rock River Arms that is pretty sweet but I have not owned any other brands. Quote
Super User Teal Posted February 16, 2013 Super User Posted February 16, 2013 Olympic arms!! Just kidding... Bushmaster!! Duh!! Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted February 16, 2013 Super User Posted February 16, 2013 I've got the Ruger, somehow still sitting in the safe. Dont know how it shoots but dam, is it pretty. LOL Quote
HeavyDluxe Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 I'm a budget shooter in the same way I'm a budget fisherman. I've *loved* my Palmetto State Armory rifle. It's cycled everything I've put in it (and I've fed it some crap) and it is pretty accurate, too. Built out a stripped lower with my son, but we bought the fully assembled upper since the thought of screwing up the headspacing kept me awake at night. But, based on our experience, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a fully-factory AR from them. Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted February 16, 2013 Super User Posted February 16, 2013 I had a Stag, Until it fell overboard in a boating accident! Jeff 1 Quote
Super User Hi Salenity Posted February 16, 2013 Super User Posted February 16, 2013 I've used DPMS lowers about a dozen times and never had a problem. The rest of the rifle I build from kits or piece by piece. Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted February 16, 2013 Super User Posted February 16, 2013 I have this FNH................... ok so its not an AR but it is "mine" till the army takes her back but since I'm reenlisting I don't see that happening for the next 15 years I don't have a personal AR honestly not my thing how can it be when I get to play with that ^^^^^^^ all my personal guns are heavy barreled long range/ varmint guns. I have really considered a match or varmint RRA but thats out with the NY SAFE act oh well I'll still to my bolt guns that shoot better. Quote
JT Bagwell Posted February 16, 2013 Author Posted February 16, 2013 That is freaking AWESOME!!! And thanks for your service bro. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted February 17, 2013 Super User Posted February 17, 2013 Clayton, what is the forward grip? Looks like a d**n taser. LOL Quote
OkeechobeeAngler Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 I like my DPMS with some internal goodies. Top with Leupold. I miss this rifle. It sucked when it fell into the lake. 1 Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted February 17, 2013 Super User Posted February 17, 2013 Speedbead that is the new HK320 replaced the M203 40mm grenade launcher 1 Quote
Fisher_C Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Throughout my military career i have used m24 sniper rifle, m110, m2010, barrett .50, and other long range sniper rifles. Those guns are all very reliable and nice guns. My personal rifle is a Knights Armament sr-15 mod 1 that should be coming in anytime now. Very, Very nice and reliable AR. 2 Quote
JT Bagwell Posted February 18, 2013 Author Posted February 18, 2013 The Les Baer is pretty sweet too. I live in a little town in Illinois (6,000 people) and we have Springfield Armory and Armalite Arms. A few minutes out of town is Rock River Arms and across the river in Iowa (used to be in IL until they just had enough of the State's harrassment) is Les Baer. About 25 minutes from here is Lewis Machine & Tool (makers of LMT weapons) and the Rock Island Arsenal (makers of weapons for the military). We are with gun makers like Northern Arkansas is to boat makers. Quote

RyneB Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 I personally dont own a AR, but my brother in law has a Rock River that seems like a good rifle. Quote
Super User South FLA Posted February 20, 2013 Super User Posted February 20, 2013 Rock River Arms are great if you can get ahold of one! I wanted a Coyote Special model before the Sandy Hook disaster and should have bought one! Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted February 24, 2013 Super User Posted February 24, 2013 Buying AR's right now is retarded. I couldkick myself for not getting the guns I wanted last year. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted March 1, 2013 Super User Posted March 1, 2013 Well, looky what I found today. 1 Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted March 1, 2013 Super User Posted March 1, 2013 That's a bad looking rifle Robert . Better throw that thing in the ocean before it goes out and shoots something all by itself Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted March 1, 2013 Super User Posted March 1, 2013 lol. LWRC M6A2. I didn't get gouged too bad. I'm beside myself that I found this, new, as they are only making black this year. Quote
