Some of the many drugs that water treatment plants do nothing about can actually change the sex ratio as well in some fish (especially flounder). If you live near a hospital with a large radiation treatment facility you will find traces of the radiation in and around the outflow in the aquatic vegetation. I like this article It shows that our waste does not magically disappear. It may affect other organisms elsewhere. Also shows how behind the curve water treatment has become. Quote
