Super User SirSnookalot Posted February 13, 2013 Super User Posted February 13, 2013 Went 4 for 6 on my 1 hour fishing break between naps, at my age ya need em and I wasn't even using a Shimano, lol. Nice fish but I didn't take a measurement, had a hard enough time with a smartphone. I either have to grow longer arms or hire a full time photographer to follow me around. 1 Quote

Super User SirSnookalot Posted February 14, 2013 Author Super User Posted February 14, 2013 You need some GO GO GADGET ARMS! Nice fish! Yeh, I'm on foot and always moving, a camera on a tripod just dosen't get it, it's fish first and photo a secondary concern. When I get lucky enough to see some out there, they don't know how to press the shutter, lol. Quote
gar-tracker Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 I rigged up a phone holder for photos on my boat using my pedestal, problem is I cant see my screen in the sunlight and the second problem is I haven't caught a picture worthy fish since I did it. Nice fish. Quote
BrettD Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 I used an old 4 piece rod I had for camera holder. I JB welded a threaded stud that fits into the camera threads on one end. I shove one end of the camera stick in the dirt and screw the camera on the top. The sections are about 15" each and they fit in my fising backpack I use for pond fishing. The picture of the fish in my avatar was taken with it. Its hard to stay in the center of the frame when taking a picture yourself so you usually have to crop the pic afterwards. Quote

We'll overlook the fact you weren't using Shimano... Quote

Probably why I landed it so easy lol. 1 of my stradics is going in for it's 3 rd repair, and of my spheros has been in twice, Floogs have been in steady service, haha. I have had quite a few that may have gone 6-8#, maybe a 10 pounder awaits me. Quote
