I wonder what is the deal with the Bionic casting combo.  Price online says it is normal $129.98.  But on the flyer it says normal price is $109.99, on sale for $69.97.  I bet they are pulling the old black friday get people in the door trick (like they do with the tv's making you think it is a great deal until you get there and realize it is a special for black friday and doesnt have the normal options but is a stripped down model).

I got mine yesterday, and as I expected, the PQ baitcaster is on sale! Gonna pick up my first baitcaster when this thing starts!

I have a few old reels laying around, anyone care to tell me how this reel trade in thing works?

I don't plan on going down there unless the weather is bad and I can't fish.  I have no pressing issue to buy anything, and BPS does not stock the items I'd like to look at.  I'll stick with what I have rather than buying something on line that I've never seen in person.

The back of the flyer tells you how it works.

How much you save depends on how much you spend.

Looking at a PQ (just cause its to good to pass up) and a new Revo S (this thing is so light and smooth)

Also i think I am going to snag my first Duckett Micro Magic rod this year too.

Going to pick up another BPS CarbonLite bait caster, I was thinking RevoS but the CarbonLite I have is sooooo light.  And I have to bite on the bionic spinning combo, probably get 2 of them. (my spinning gear is minimal at best)  And the Bomber deal on whatever day it is I will have to go twice!  Can't get enough of those coffin bills, especially for $2 each.

man i want a carbon lite soooooooooooooooo bad cause of them being so dang lite. but heard to many people complain about gears getting rough after a while. tried the 2 they had on display at my local BPS and could feel that slight grind that i heard peeps talking about. Other than that issue i would snag one in a heartbeat.

Someone convince me other wise i still want one :)

Well Ive had mine almost a year and though it casts great, manages line great, very light the grinding just hasnt gotten better on mine. I regreased the gears a few times and it helps for a bit. Now there is a whine type noise when casting think its the shoes/brakes. Ive decided to take it back see if they let me exchange it  for one of the reels I mentioned in my above post or at least another one..

I dunno about any of that grinding.  That being said I bought it at last years Classic sale.  It has been used a bunch, but not as much as some of my other gear.  With BPS return policy I will probably pick up 2 more and if they start grinding just exchange them.  They tend to take anything back no questions asked.

Was wondering the same thing because at the price in the flier you are getting either the rod or the reel for free.  It must be a special kinda deal cuz they don't even make a Bionic spinning reel, but are offering one in a combo with the rod.

Yeah sorry.  My brain says one thing my fingers said another. :wink2:

I have a Duckett Micro Magic, I like my Carrot stick better specially for Worming and flipping.

I got corrot stix last year, the classic orange then later grabbed a CS wild. Love the wild other than the lure keeper being in a odd position but its not that bad

That is the only reason I will never own a Carrot stix or a Skeet rod.  Who puts the hook holder there?  Makes zero sense to me.

Yea I don't get it either, now on the orange CS it's fine, I just don't get what they were thinking on the Wild. But that Wild rod is so light and sensitive out of my current 3 I fish with, it's still my fav.

On the topic of the OP, it is crazy that I've not received my Spring Classic flyer yet. I know folks in the area who have...

Has me thinking if my wife is in on the conspiracy.

Me:  :eh:  Hon, did I get a BPS flyer today? (every day for past week)

Wife: Mmmm, nooope.
