Well, I was looking at a classifieds website for my area and I came across a DSR822c rod, never used plastic still on the cork for $140.

Its a casting drop shot rod, I already have a drop shot rod spinning model and its not a technique I use a lot but I figure the deal is great since they retail for 250-270 on the g loomis website and I could probably use it for another technique. what do you think?

Would you snag it?

Take it!! Im sure that rod would work for something that you do! If not, sell it and make a few dollars off of it. I havent read the specs of that rod, but im sure u can use it for finesse or light baits or shakey heads.

Sounds like a good fluke, senko, finesse jig rod. I dont know how loomis tips are but it might could be a jerkbait or towater rod...that is if you dont use it for dropshots..lol

Not a good fluke or senko rod, there isn't enough tip in the rod.  I use my DSR for grubs and sliders a lot, as well as flick shaking worms around docks.

In truth, the 822C is probably the perfect dropshot rod, casting or spinning.  It has incredible strength and power for a rod in its class.  It really is superb for dragging a dropshot becuase of the accuracy gained.  I don't leave home without mine in spring.

My wife got it for me for Christmas from American Legacy for $395.

It is the GLX model 11469-01 6' 10" spinning drop shot rod.

Looking forward to using it this summer.
