piscicidal Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 The video below shows a guy I work with almost becoming a grease spot on a snowy Chinese roadway. I've been to China 26 times since 2003, and can tell you that I have been in this situation more than a few times. Quote
Super User Teal Posted February 12, 2013 Super User Posted February 12, 2013 Wow. Cool video, whats the deal with the in-car camera? I used them in police work but didnt really know if in car videos were used outside of police/government/secret squirell work. Quote
piscicidal Posted February 12, 2013 Author Posted February 12, 2013 Most companies now have these cameras running to capture these type incidents (which are very frequent) and help deal with the ensuing litigation. Quote

Agreed, I learned in West Africa and other Third World Countries locals will stage an accident with a "Westerner" to get a big settlement. I've had to drive off the road to avoid a staging (my catalytic converter set the roadside grass on fire one time). Therefore, we were trained in defensive driving as SOP, but we would opt for local taxi's whenever possible. Quote
