Aetos threads keep popping up but no one seems to have bought the rod yet, lol. Im also eager to know how the rod feels since i love my elite tech smallmouth rod so much...

have not used the aetos rods or ever seen one in person they seem to be very nice rods.i am a fan of the hmx and hmg rods imho the hmg is such an underated rod.the hmg rods are sensitive light weight and have alconite guides all for around 120.00 next to powells to me they are one of the better rods for the money.the 7'9'' heavy aetos looks really solid as a flip pitch punch and swimbaits rod.which aetos rods are you looking at to maybe buy.

I might buy the aetos for swimbaits.

Theres a review up on *** of the aetos. I believe the same person is using the 7'mh in the casting jig video on the home page as well. I handled a couple in a tackle store earlier in the winter. They are incredibly light weight and seem comfortable for a store test.

Was this a local shop or like a dicks/bps? My shop only carries the hmg lineup. I don't like buying a rod without feeling it but I trust fenwick rods.

It was at a store called "Fin and Feather." I'm not sure if it's just local or a chain. It's around the size of a Gander Mountain. They often times sell Rage Craws for 3.99 and lots of other discounts that don't make any sense for them to use if they are trying to make money.

The manager of my local Cabelas is going to call me when they come in. They are a little late in getting newer tackle as I had my Elite Tech Smallmout rod for almost a year before they got them in. I want to handle them but based on the review done at *** I may just order one, perhaps the 7'2" MH-XF but I'd have to get it from Fewnick as TW doesn't have that model.

Im going to go with either the 74 m or the 79 h . depends on if i want a crankbait or a heavy cover rod.

Haven't used them. Fenwick makes a d**n good rod and reasonably priced at that. I have more than a few HMG's
