Super User Dwight Hottle Posted February 12, 2013 Super User Posted February 12, 2013 Made it out to the golf course honey hole last evening with South Fla, aka Robert. I had just got a new st croix jig rod and wanted to break it in. Usually frogs are the bait of choice on this water. Naturally Robert was throwing a frog, duh. Stubborn me was casting a jig until I got bit & landed my first fish on the new rod. Robert had three bass on the frog before I finally got a bite. Anyhow the jig rod felt great. Naturally the best fish of the outing hit the frog. 1 Quote

Super User Dwight Hottle Posted February 12, 2013 Author Super User Posted February 12, 2013 Sounds like it was a sweet time How is that Extreme? I can't get past the feel of the handle The handle is very comfortable. I broke last years legend extreme & St Croix gave me the option of replacing it with the dd model or the new one. I chose the new one. Every rod I have ever owned was a cork handle. The new handle immediately felt at home when I started using it. I have the LXC78MHM for cranks, jerks & other treble hook baits & just got the LXC74HF for jigs, texas rigs & plastic swim baits. One of my buddies has the LXC78MHM on order. Quote
