Anybody compared these? My dad just got the flyer for the spring classic sale. The carbonlites look to be ten bucks off while the sig is 30 bucks off making the micro carbonlite and the sig both 109. With a rod trade in they are 89? I have a carbonlite and absolutely love it. I was planning on getting another one but the sig has me curious now. My dad has an old one from the nineties that has served him well and he still uses it.

I have 2 carbonlite rods and love them. They are very sensative and have held up well. I hope this helps.

Yeah I have a carbonlite and really really love it, just wondering since they are basically the same price if I should grab the sig, there's not a lot of info out there on the rods. The do have the concept guides though......

I haven't used the signature rod, but I do have a carbon black rod which the blank appears very similar to the signature with a different handle and guides. I also have a carbonlite.

I've had the CB for 2 years now and it has been a great rod. I'm fairly new to this and haven't used many rods so I can't give you a comparison, and I've only fished my CL a couple times. It is noticeably heavier than the carbonlite.

I have pulled up some logs and some decent sized catfish with my CB that I wouldn't feel comfortable doing with my carbonlite. I'm sure that has a lot to do with the weight difference.

If the weight difference doesn't bother you I think you'd be happy with either rod. Hope this helps.

Interesting, the carbon black and sig do appear to be the same blank. I remember picking that rod up when I bout my carbonlite and remember it being heavier than the carbonlite. I would defiantly venture to guess that the signature will be lighter though because of the guides and grips used. Don't have a clue if its as light as the carbonlite though.

It's not. I played with both in the store and the carbonlite is noticeably lighter. Heck it's noticeably lighter than about every rod in the store when you spend some time trying them out. I can't tell you if it's any lighter than the carbon black. To me they feel about the same, but I've never had them side by side.

I too believe the Carbonlite is a tad lighter than the JM SIg, anyway that is the way they felt in the store.  I handed both rods to a guy next to me and he agreed..

I recently bought the johnny morris signiture rod. I have not used it yet but when I was in the store I asked an associate what the difference was and he explained to me that the signiture is balanced a little better and is a little more sensitive.
