NWI-Bassin' Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 I have around $80 for bass pro to buy lures ,baits and terminal tackle with. So the question is , what should I buy? Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted February 11, 2013 Super User Posted February 11, 2013 Depends on what you have. If I had a choice I would split it 50/50 between power and finesse. Power - Spinnerbaits, Crankbaits, Jerkbaits Finesse - Bullet weights, drop shot weights, good quality (Seaguar Invizx) FC line, Drop shot lures (Dream Shot, Z Drop, Roboworm) Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 11, 2013 Super User Posted February 11, 2013 Consider our sponsors: MegaStrike: MegaStrike Attractant, StrikeBack Spinnerbait, Cavitron Buzzbait, ShakE2, Evolution Jig and MegaBug Rage Tail: Take your choice, I like them all. Maybe the new Menace to start with NorthStar: The Original Swim Jig Seibert Outdoors: Storm Series Jig Smithwick: Rattlin' Rogue SureLife: Catch & Release 1 Quote
mnbassman23 Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Depends on what you have. Exactly and what techniques do you enjoy doing? I'd put the money towards restocking the essentials. If you fish plastics a lot get weights, hooks and plastics.. If you crankbait fish a lot get cranks. If you Jig fish a lot stock up on jigs and trailers, etc etc.. Whatever you are low on make sure you restock those supplies. Line is also another good thing to have plenty of. Quote
NWI-Bassin' Posted February 11, 2013 Author Posted February 11, 2013 I have plenty of line . I have quite a few lipless cranks , few spinnerbaits ,no more jigs, a few plastics. My stock in baits went down a lot from taking family members fishing and always getting hung up. Quote

Sounds like jigs are a need, plastics (you can experiment with brands) and perhaps terminal tackle -- sinkers, hooks, etc. Definitely go in with a plan! Quote

So many choices and I'm going to try senkos this year. I have a few small lakes full of 3-5lbers. Quote

NEjitterbugger Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 My last BPS order included some Scumfrogs, Rage Anacondas, Rage Thumpers, Slug-Os, bullet weights, worm hooks, etc. Stuff like that, it really depends on what you need to add to your "angling arsenal"... Quote

I don't need a combo. I'm buying a reel and I already have a rod. And I have around $85 for lures and tackle. Quote
