Fishing Changes Forever In

10Days 11hours ....

Anyone got any insight?

Allright I am dign here maybe this is it?

Rapala has an ad on their site that says something about evasive action is coming and it looks like maybe a triggerfish type of swim but doesnt show a lure.

Maybe they'll just completely do away with their customer service department that refuses to do anything about their junk lures, and drop the price $1 per bait.  :)

A Rapala branded A-rig with Banjo Minnows on it.

My cousin absolutely CRUSHED me one time on a creek with smallmouths and a banjo minnow. It was absurd. I was throwing live shiners, he was throwing that and outfishing me easy 10:1

if a new walk the dog is changing fishing forever they might wanna start exploring other avenues unless they figured out a way to just reel and it walks on its own

The bait they're coming out with is a new style of crankbait.  Similar in form to a shad bodied bait, or a shad rap.  The difference is the way the bill is formed.  It's a cup, or accentuated U shaped bill, if you will.  It's hard to describe it exactly.  And I don't currently have pictures.  What's unique is that the lure readily changes direction and speed.  It's a very, very unique design, but it isn't game changing; yet.  I've not fished the release version.  It's a pretty cool bait...

Glad to see that someone else knows and posted. I have been trying to decide whether or not to post that info since I saw this thread.

Rapala sponsored a Class I attended this past weekend. The pros were willing to trade any of the baits in their box for the new Rapala DT 6 in a Red crawfish pattern. Guy next to me got a two brand new Lucky Craft pointers for that one crankbait.  They may have horrible customer service, but they are good baits.

Me too. It's not just that, either. The hard bait world is about to change. There will be a pro, not sure if I should mention who or not, so I won't, that will be using this at the Classic.

I hope it's Ott.  Not Ike! ;-)

Remember Berkley frenzy crankbaits that were supposed to "REVOLUTIONIZE" fishing--They were in every clearance bin in the country

I just saw that count down too. On the back of my Ontario Outdoors magazine there's an advertisement for a new hard bait called the "Balsa Xtreme" or "BX Series"

maybe that's what its for.

This is something new. Actually, Bobby, you should pay attention, because it's going to affect the spinnerbait world, too.

Hmmm, and I've run out of space in my present crankbait box. Sigh.

Well, it will be interesting to see if this is the new now or the next helicopter lure. Either way, if a pro wins using this at the Classic, Rapala will be printing money for the next decade.

They can trade for every DT6 they want, that bat is nothing compared to this.  There's only one or two pros that have the bait.

Ott had a heavy, heavy influence in the design of this bait.  My money is on him fishing it extensively at the Classic if the correct conditions are introduced.

Someone posted that it's similar to a sub-surface Triggerfish.  Not really.  Very different in the way it works.  The dive angle is huge, and the speed, as well as the movement.  It's very, ,very different.

Does it make it back to the boat in one piece if it hits a rock during the retrieve? That's my biggest hang up with Rapala cranks, a 7-10 dollar bait should not fall apart that easily.

If it dives that deep that rapidly it might give the 10xd a run for its money?

The 10xd fills a small niche, while this new thing covers a much wider range of applications. It's not just one lure. It may be coming out as one, and that's how it will be introduced, but it will be used for waaay more than that.
