Super User 00 mod Posted February 10, 2013 Super User Posted February 10, 2013 Went over to the White River to do a little fishing this weekend. Had a great time. It was COLD, with air temps never reaching 40 and the wind blowing both days. But we did manage to land 15 browns, with the biggest being 26''. Here are a couple pics and a video I did. Guess I am going to have to give up on the underwater and just shoot regular video. This is the 3rd time I have attempted it, and it isn't working so well! Jeff Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted February 11, 2013 Super User Posted February 11, 2013 Nice! Looks like Hotdawg put you on some nice fish. Quote
Super User MarkH024 Posted February 11, 2013 Super User Posted February 11, 2013 I fished that exact....EXACT same stretch of river as you. I recognize that building behind you. Caught all rainbows when I was there but nothing of the size of your fish there. Awesome table fare but trout fishing just isn't my cup of tea. I need to go up to the Milwaukee Harbor and catch some monster browns or steelhead. I also saw you were there earlier this year Jeff, now that I could do. Nice pics though. Looks like you had a good time. Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted February 11, 2013 Author Super User Posted February 11, 2013 The building behind me is world famous Gastons Resort. Havent stayed there in years. Jeff Quote
Broke bass fisherman Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Another nice trip. Congrats looks like fun. Quote

I fished the River with the guys from The Boat Dock on Bull Shoals. I was there in the dog days of summer. I didn't get to fish Bull Shoals thought which I was really disappointed about. Quote
Super User Tuckahoe Joe Posted February 11, 2013 Super User Posted February 11, 2013 Awesome fish! Congrats! Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 11, 2013 Global Moderator Posted February 11, 2013 A couple really nice browns in that video! Were they eating sculpins? I've got about a month and a half and I'll be back down there after them Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted February 11, 2013 Author Super User Posted February 11, 2013 Sculpins and river slicks were the ticket. Jeff Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 11, 2013 Global Moderator Posted February 11, 2013 Sweet, we'll mainly be tossing sticks at them but always good to know just in case they won't eat them. The visual side of fishing jerks for those big browns down there is so exciting. Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted February 11, 2013 Author Super User Posted February 11, 2013 There wasn't enough water running for stick baits, but if there was, Rogues would have been my go to as well! Jeff Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted February 11, 2013 Super User Posted February 11, 2013 Nice video. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 11, 2013 Super User Posted February 11, 2013 Man, that was great! I think the underwater photography is fantastic! Nice fish, buddy! Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted February 12, 2013 Super User Posted February 12, 2013 Way to Go! Ghoti, BassnChris and I are headed to Taneycomo this week-end. I doubt that we will do as well as you folks without Hotdawg around. Quote
