Figured today would be a good day to bring my gopro out since there should be alot of action and I ended up having to go alone. Windy, water was murky green 3-4` viz, but the bite was on! I caught +/- 30 fish in 3 hours, and got a couple 5 pounders on video. Most in the 2lb range. Not good video, but video. :Idontknow:

Sweet dude!! Thanks for sharing.

Is a camera mount coming soon?

Ive thought about it a couple times, but after actually using it today, probably will. Putting the tackle box sideways in the back with the camera flopping around in the wind on top of it isnt the greatest setup lol.

I have seen some make shift camera mounts that work and save alot of money, maybe you can figure something out that will work for you.

Yea. I have the housing, brackets, and stick ons for it I used on my bike.. just need to bolt together some sort of swivel for it to stick to. If I can find it, I think I have a suction cup bracket with a pivoting arm for it buried in the garage somewhere I can stick to the top of the motors or something

I asked santa for one and He didn't have it.

Will ask to " Uncle Sam " probably he will be kind.

I check the web site and they have some kind of " head strap " would be good for bank fishing.

I know I will go for one, still need aproval from someone in my house :eyebrows:

Nice videos!

The head mounts will almost make you sick watching someones videos.  The head moves just way too much. Try a chest mount.  They seem to work better.

I've seen footage from a rod mount - it's ok but take a little getting used to.

When I first heard about the rod mount I was really confused and thought they were talking about something much different.

Chest mount, sound good plus probable better level for the video.

The kit shown on that motor, camera, head mount, and stick on bracket tabs (which stuck to my bike @ 170mph) I got at best buy for like $170. Its not the 1080 one, but I had it before I crashed and broke it, and for $130 difference, its not much better. The cheaper one is almost as clear, still hd. Im not sure if they sell the chest mount setup there or not. I like these over alot of other action cameras bc the housing is waterproof to a certain point, and the anti-shock works great! The mnovement in that video was because I just had it sitting out of case on a rounded edge tacklebox in the wind.

I like the idea for the bike, one of my trips to the mountain for some bike I was using my standar video camara and was just a pain, I will try this set-up.

Thanks for the info. Fst...

Cool video!   Subscribed.

I created my own mount using PVC pipe...I glued a T-bracket to the end of the pipe and epoxied one of the go pro mounts to it.  The other end is wrapped in foam tape and inserts into my center console rod holders for quick removal when running.

I wanted a long mount to create this high camera mount angle...getting a panoramic view of the action, looking down.

Thats a much better angle up high where you have it. What size pvc did you use to eliminate the flop like 1-1/2"? Maybe  something simular, except screwing a threaded flange to the floor, maybe 6` of 1-1/2 schedule 80, and a cap on top or something. My 10` john doesnt have room for a center console lol.

ya so where is this spot? lol

Yeah, I use 1.5" PVC.  it does sway around a little bit when the boat is rocking.  You won't be able to replicate the mounting scheme exactly with your setup,  but this might lead to some ideas.  PVC is easy to work...easy to make your own fittings/mounts/etc...

This setup works good for me.  My mounting pole is 8ft long and it fits in my rod holders, when I'm running.

Thanks. Its an expensive hobby, which is how I ended up fishing in between. Figured it was a cheap way to entertain myself while broke haha. Could pay off a new tracker 165 in one year with how much I spend on a  race season.
