Shewillbemine Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I'd love to take kids bass fishing. But it's hard to choose whom to take from the local playground. 1 Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted February 10, 2013 Super User Posted February 10, 2013 Great advice in that article...Hank's articles and shows never get boring! Quote
Jig Meister Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 A+ My father never once took me fishing, in fact he hates fishing. He has gone with me when I was a kid bank fishing many times, but never really enjoyed it, and it was not a bonding experience what-so-ever. Thank heavens for my oldest brother, he taught me and made me fall in love with fishing, and I couldnt be happier about it. Some of my best memories as a kid were fishing with my brothers, or fishing by myself. If my wife and I can have kids (not so sure) I will totally attempt to take them and show them the way. Quote
Super User Darren. Posted February 11, 2013 Super User Posted February 11, 2013 Always appreciate the wisdom from Hank and others. I have four boys and it has been trying at times to take them all fishing. But each has had great times and I hope many more. While leaving my stuff at home is oh so hard, I feel it is necessary to give the kids front and center attention. Now that they're getting older though.... Quote
Broke bass fisherman Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Great article. My oldest keeps asking when we can go again and I can't wait to take her again. Quote
rangerboy Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 well said mr parker. just started with my 5 yr old last summer, wish the first trip was from shore. it was painfull running my ranger at 20mph. but they sure get excited to see a bass. makes it all worth it. Quote
B@ssCrzy Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Great article. I look forward to many memories fishing with my kids. The best fishing trip I had last summer was with my four year old son. Will always remember it. Did not catch any monster bass, but the memories that I made with him will far outlast any fish I would ever catch. Quote
