Bobby Uhrig Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 THIS IS A LITTLE CONTINUATION FROM THE POST BELOW AND SOMETIMES WHEN POSTS GET TO LONG -THE POINTS GET LOST. When fishing over the grass on a very still calm day. when the bass are hitting bugs and other smaller creatures -I throw the 1/8 oz Cavitron. It creates a smaller wake with some subtlety. It posses no threat and is an easy meal. I added a 4/o Gamy hook on them. Most smaller buzzbaits have smaller hooks on them.I dont like small hooks. This bait is an amazing producer when nothing else seems to get bit.I can cast it with ease with plenty of range..When nothing else seems to work or the bigger bulkier baits spook the fish.Try the 1/8 oz cavitron. Super User .ghoti. Posted April 1, 2010 Super User Posted April 1, 2010 There is a top notch tip. I've caught more bass on a 1/8oz buzzbait than on any other size. A lot more. Quote
BassThumb Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Good tip. I'm a HUGE fan of 1/8 oz buzzbaits. I bought a 50 pack of Strike King Mini King buzzers at $1.50 apiece about 6 years back when they were rumored to be going out of production....which they didn't. : So I'm good for a while in the 1/8 oz buzzbait dept. ;D #1 river smallie lure ever IMO. That's why I snagged them. Also, very good point about great tips getting swamped by long threads. Too often people read the first few replies and then makes their own, only to miss the constructive tips on page 2 and 3. Quote
