Hyrule Bass Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 My local Wal-marts normally have a few things on sale, but not for $1 a piece. The only thing ever for $1 there was when they had the vicious displays set up in every walmart i went to. Quote
Super User *Hootie Posted February 11, 2013 Super User Posted February 11, 2013 My Walmart fishing department is so sparse, if I got 80% off on everything in the department, I could walk out with everything they have for about $6.00.....lol Hootie 1 Quote
SudburyBasser Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Selection up in my local Walmart is so bad I wouldn't take most of it even on sale. 1 Quote

Yeah us Ontario Residents do not get the good stuff like the guys from the SOUTH. Just another kick while we are down waiting for the season to open up, while they get to fish all year long. Quote

But yeah, I would pay more just to fish sooner. Quote

Lil'skeeter Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Not much here either....not enough of a discount to entice me into buying. flippin and pitchin Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 My local tackle outlet had 5 and 6 inch Yamamoto Senkos for 2.97 today. Plenty of colors too. Walmart has squat here. Fifty percent off of squat is still squat. Quote
fstr385 Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 pfff... my wal mart didnt have anything on sale, so I ended up buying $130 worth of stuff anyways! Thats almost like $6 lol Quote
Flukeman Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Stopped by a Walmart today and found some DT7 Flats for $4.00 a piece. I lost 2 of the 3 I owned last summer to pike and could not find replacements anywhere. I think they are discountinued, so thats why they were marked down. They had a bunch of line marked down, strike king tungsten, gammi hooks, lower end reels, waders, powerbait, stike king plastics, and a lot of panfish stuff. The guy told me they were going to be marking down the highend rods they had KVD, Falcon, Wright McGill, ..,etc, soon because they did not sell. Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted February 14, 2013 Super User Posted February 14, 2013 I stopped by again today. I went in to check if sk tungsten was on clearance. 1/8 and 3/16 were full and regular price. 1/4 and 3/8 which were full are now gone. Same thing with select sk spinnerbaits, hooks etc. Nobody knew their whereabouts either.... Quote
ChrisAW Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Stopped into one of my local Wally's today and did happen to find some Trokar 3/0 offset round bends on clearance for $3 per pack. Bought 4. No good baits on sale though, from what I seen. Its sad the state that my local stores leave their stock. I found two KVD rods with tips broken off and one of the new Vendetta 2's with a crushed guide. Not to mention they are all falling over out of their racks and so mixed up, you can't even pull one out to look at it. Quote
primetime Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 If you live near a Gander Mountain, they always have crazy sales in February to make room for new lures and baits. I just spent $600 on lures and baits the other day at the store in Orlando Florida, or near Orlando... My buddy told me about it, so I drove from Tampa.. I only prepared to spend $150 but here is what I walked away with......I got excited, can't lie. 1. DT 20 Metal- Green shad, grey shiner, sivler/blk- 2.97 ea 2. All Lucky Craft Pointers- 1/2 off of 12.99 so 6.50 ea 3. Strike King Sexy Swimmers lipless swimbaits. 5 bucks from 12 4. Rapala suspended Minnow raps and xraps in size 9,11- 3.00-6.00 Now here is where I got carried away Spro Frogs- 5.99 Scum Frogs- The big size-1.99 Clackin raps 6-8 sizes 3.99 in top colors-Perch,ghost,clown, and a few other top colors. rippin raps were 2.25 in all colors and husky jerks were 3.00 in rare colors, meaning the better ones. Then I grabbed a bunch of lures I would never purchase due to money....but now I see why Sebile Flatt Shads, squad Minnows, and Norman cranks are so popular. I grabbed sebile splasher topwater lures with the glitter inside for 5.00 as well as all flatt shads..They are $16.99 at Dicks.... To top this off, Sports Authority decided to shut down their Fishing department and I ended up walking into 75% all fishing items...Grabbed every spool of Nanofil, Power Pro, Sufix 832, and lots of leader and Hooks. Also grabbed all sorts of Yozuris, zoom baits, and Johnson silver minnows with Mister twister grubs as well.....Now I have to figure out how to pay my rent and bills... I may have to ask one of my firiend to give me a black eye and a few scratched and pretend I was mugged or something. My girl is going to kill me... Dropped close to 1500 on tackle, but man was it fun!!!! Quote
