Hey guys, you might want to check your local walmart fishing section this week. When i went in they had three boxes full of stuff on the counter, i asked, the lady said a dollar a piece. She also said on the wall in the next aisle, all the clearance was last years stuff. Also, everything a dollar. Here is the breakdown of what i got.

2 bags paca chunk trailers

2 bags zoom super flukes

1 bag Kinami flash

2 bags Zoom finesse worms

2 bags Yamamoto Senkos

2 Rapala Husky Jerks

1 Rapala Shad Rap

1 Rapala Orig. floater

1 Strike King Premier Spinnerbait

1 Strike King Elite Bleeding Buzzbait

All for 15 bucks. A dollar a piece. All the plastics were in the good colors, (green pumpkin, watermelon reds, etc...)  I looked up the prices on the same items at Bass Pro, total came to 80.47. These are all great baits, and ones that i use often. The deals are out there. Few and Far between.

Thanks cal, I nothiced yesterday our Walmart had items on sale and discontinued including rods. Our deals were not that sweet though. BuCoo rods were $99.99 plus they had scents and hooks on sale, but more like 20-30% off. The deals you mentioned may come so I'll have to check back daily!

Yea, i normally dont find very good deals, but was glad I did this time. They had a whole box of Rapala floaters, shad raps, DT, etc... for a dollar a piece. I was going to grab them all and resale on ebay, but i think i'll spread the wealth and let some other people get good deals as well.

Last week, my local Walmart was moving the fishing section and reorganizing. They had a little wall with clearence stuff. I got some Mustad KVD grip pin EWG hooks for 1.99 each. Not my normal hook brand, but it has a welded metal bait keeper and they are 2 bucks!! I also grabbed a handful of the Yum dingers for 1.00ea.

They only had the sale hooks in 3/0, 4/0, so i got 3 packs each!!

I stopped by mine today.  I seen a few items marked down about 20%.  Nothing much more than that.  I didn't buy anything. I usually do score from time to time!  A few years ago I cleaned up the Chatterbaits and Arkie football jigs.  A buck a piece.  I cleaned them out one time when they miss marked the Booyah Pond Magic baits.  A buck a piece.

Nothing like that here.  They are restocking with new items which means we are getting closer to spring.  Of course we just got slammed with about 8 inches of snow but we are getting closer ... HA!

My walmart had a sale last year with lures but the sale was 30% off only. There wasn't much on sale either. Good job on scoring 80% off!

Wow nice score.  Yeah the local WalMart didn't have anything here either.  Of course the Wal Mart here isn't as cool as most of you guys as they only carry the crappy retail brands of rods/reels.

Hey guys, make sure you ask whoever is working the counter about the actual price. The Lady and the Dept. manager fella did an override for me to try and get all the things moved out for the new line of stuff. Most of the items were marked with a sticker at 5.00 or 4.50, they told me a dollar on all of the ones with those stickers.  They told me they wanted last years stuff out fast, and i told them that the bass i fish for dont care how old the baits were. haha!

I picked up 39 items for .25 cents ea., a lot of those were generic hooks and other terminal tackle. However I did get 8 packs of 3/0 gami's, two rebel poppers, 3 cotton cordell super spots, two arkie jigs, and 5 packs of  luck e strike 4" worms. They have a new manager at the store. She told me that they had more to mark down in the up coming weeks, she also added they wouldn't all be for 25 cents!!

Man you all are getting some great deals. I dont make it into walmart much but I will make it a point to do so next week.

My local Walmart isn't like that at all, there's a stupid store manager that doesn't believe in a real clearance. The store is just about busting at the seems since all the old stock can't leave the store.

I don't really need anything but I am going to Wal-Mart tomorrow just to see if I can score a deal like yours.

You wont find that bait selection here. My guess is they just dont sell that much bass tackle. Ive found a couple deals over the years. If my walmart had netbait chunks for a $1, I wouldnt be leaving any of those behind.

Only thing at my wallyworld was Berkley Trilene 100% Fluorocarbon was $2 off.  Wouldn't be so bad if it was a) my line brand and B) it was 200yd spools and not the 110yd spools.

Congrats on the deal though!

Went to one of our local Walmart's tonight, some clearance items, but nothing the likes of what you guys are seeing.

However, I did note that they're now stocking VMC drop shot hooks with the integrated tag end holder. Believe they were $3.96 for a 6 pack.

Check all of your local walmarts, I have four within driving distance two had great deals but the other two barely had any clearance sales. I got $70 worth of stuff for 25 bucks

Last year i found a vendetta that was marked wrong and got it for $24. If you look hard enough you can usually find some great deals.

Might just do that, but will be difficult to justify to the CFO of the house if there are deals at the other locales, LOL.....

Look around the store too. In mine they had a whole clearance section setup in the garden center on the opposite end of the store from the fishing aisle. Then I had to wade through all of the clearance stuff to find the few boxes of fishing stuff.
