Super User lmbfisherman Posted February 9, 2013 Super User Posted February 9, 2013 My name is Wesley and I reside up in Ontario Canada (for now). I officially took up bass fishing in 2012 (meaning took it serious and researched) and am loving it. I wish I had started earlier in my life, but I was an Ocean man (Lived in Tacoma/Seattle area) and always thought Freshwater fishing was for WIMPS! LOL Now, I think differently especially now that I'm land locked from the Ocean. Bass fishing seems to take skill, knowledge and tactics. I think that is part of the reason why I like it. I did try for bass before fishing for a couple of years using the standard worm and hook, thinking how hard is it really to catch a bass? Always got frustrated that I kept catching panfish (sunfish, perch...etc). Until last season I started to research and who knew there was a whole world out there just on bass fishing.... One of the best moments in my life was to finally break my 0 for 100000000 streak of catching no bass by trying out my first jig and worm and flipped it into timber in a lake nearby and SLAM! All these techniques actually work! I'm still learning a lot, and have lurked on the bass fishing forums all over the net and decided well it's time to join up with the ones I liked. So here I am. You guys seem to be great and knowledgeable! 1 Quote
