Bass XL Posted March 16, 2007 Author Posted March 16, 2007 wow, thanks guys, just the answers i was looking for Quote
Super User Munkin Posted March 17, 2007 Super User Posted March 17, 2007 1. I hate rattle traps because they catch fish for everyone but me and I have never made more than 12 casts without losing it! 2. Depends but something more natural like a smoke colored senko? 3. Main thing about fishing clear water is long casts! If you can see them they saw you 10 minutes earlier and are now spookish. Allen Quote
Brad_Coovert Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 Yes, lipless crankbaits will work in clear water. For hardbaits and spinnerbaits, I like ghost colors such as Lucky Crafts ghost minnow. For soft baits and jigs, watermelons and green pumpkins. Brad Quote
sal669 Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 1.- Yes2.- None in particular. I usualy downsize and use natural colours. but because most fishermen do the same, something big and gaudy might be the ticket (think out of the box, if normal strategy don't work) A lot depends on the season, too. PondBoss Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 1. Helk yeah they catch fish 2. I kinda fish on the gaudy side of the spectrum on real clear water. Right now I've been experimenting with the Lake Fork brand hot pink lizard and electric orange worm. I believe Jimmy Walker said it best "Dynamite!" ;D Quote
