Isaiah Edwards Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 what size lures can i use.. 1/8 a guy on another board said not to use 1/8 lure for a baitcaster.... i looked on my rod said 1/8 3/4... what about the chatter bait it's not marked what size it is, i have my brake set on #8 and it can cast with hardly any backlash i wonder if they make baitcaster for left handed people..... i'm right handed Quote
Brad_Coovert Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 I throw 1/8 oz. baits on baitcasters without a problem. I guess it depends on how practiced you are. Chatterbaits come in 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 I believe. As far as reels, they make baitcasters in left and right. Brad Quote
sal669 Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 I use spinning rod+reel for anything less than 1/4 oz. Why do you want to use a baitcaster ??? Quote
Nashiem Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 hey I just bought a baitcaster for the purpose of worm fishing, I use a 3/16 ounce bullet sinker and I guess the worm adds a little weight, but I have no problem casting that set up Quote
